it's true folks. laura here. breanna just gave me the run down on how to sign-in and get all the right buttons clicked...then threatened me (with the death of my firstborn) into making a post RIGHT NOW!
i'm not much of a blogger to tell you the truth. i like to share my adventures with the world, but this honestly just feels a bit too vulnerable. what if nobody cares that i won a $280 lawnmower yesterday and am seriously debating starting a lawn service (think middle school entrepreneur)...or that kara and i tried about 50 samples of dutch cheese at the marketplatz today (surrounded by people over the age of 70 and japanese tourists)?
let's face it. you don't care.
how did you even happen upon this blog entry anyway? i have no idea.
but because i don't want to lose the firstborn child (that i am determined to never have), i will continue. and because maybe someone somewhere will think this is entertaining.
the other day, some of the ladies in our neighborhood took a personality test to help us learn what kind of jobs would best suit us. one of my top personality traits is apparently "connectedness"...or "believing that everything happens for a reason...and being sure of it because in your soul you know that we are all connected." basically, i'm a real live hippie, which i think is awesome.
but i really do believe that our stories are all connected. and that everyone's got something for me to learn. so i will add my voice to the roomie rondezvous (or however the heck you spell that).
i also need to take this moment (seeing as it might be my last at the rate i'm going here on this post) to say that i love my roommates! i constantly feel uber uber lucky to have ladies in my life who will walk beside me daily...make me laugh, listen when i tell them about my day, encourage me to grow in faith and love, and put up with my drying rack all over the tiny apartment, my need for soft lighting at night, and my lack of fashion sense (along with all those times when i'm just plain mean). if you don't have people in your life that love you unconditionally, you should get some...or just move in with us...you can share the closet with katie.
i think this post was supposed to be about kara and my tulip time adventures, so i must confess, I LOVE TULIP TIME! and tulip time is even more enjoyable (can that be possible?) with kara. besides sampling cheese, we've also watched selena dutch dance, gone to a vintage baseball game ("Will you please tally my ace?"), watched some mexican dancing, and taken many, many tacky pictures in the mercantile bank tulip time photo booth that we emailed to every email address we could remember. still sad we couldn't remember scott vroon's.
is that sufficient bre?
Laura!!! That was an amazing blog post! I am so glad you love Tulip Time, because I love it too! Also, if anyone moves into the closet with me, can we get bunk beds in there?
