Today started out like any normal day for Katie and I. We both had our various work commitments, slaving the day away. Due to the unexpected weather Mother Nature had presented us with, it was particularly difficult to stay inside on such a beautiful day. Katie invited me to accompany her on a rendezvous around the neighborhood with her lovely canine companions. We were walking along, enjoying the last remaining sunbeams of January, when we encountered three polite boys. They asked, "Can we pet your dogs?" We willingly obliged. Izzy wasn't a fan of these new strangers, but Goldie gladly welcomed the attention and affection. I questioned one of the young lads about their choice of hair color, seeing as he had blue and purple streaked through out it. Apparently it was wacky hair day at Holland Heights. Oh, how I miss those carefree days. Anyways... We continued on our way and resumed our deep discussion of what the rest of the night held in store. We got about a half a bock away from where we stopped when we heard on of the boys call out, "You're cute!" We refused to turn around, faces red from giggling. We were just hit on by three 4th grade boys. Flattered, Yet. Sorry boys, we're all a little to young to start the whole cougar/cub type relationship. I would try using that charm on someone around your own age, you might just get a response.
So now Katie and I are sitting here in Lj's.. unwinding after an adventurous day, watching the clouds release the extra H2O they have gathered. Fortunate for Katie, she got her rain boots in the mail today! They are being put to good use already.
